Biography

Early life

Taurbui Deram was born in Durantum, Kingdom of Akaria. On 20-10 1002 TT Taurbui's father, Osar, declared himself Leader of the Deram after defeating his relative Barakta in a dual brought on by the right of blood. Osar would go on to become Living King in 987 TT.

9th Living Election

Osar died on 1-12 973 TT, soon after his eldest son Harakoph Deram succeeded him as Leader of the Deram. Taurbui had been Osar's choice for the next Living King. During the 9th Living Election, the ossbosches took Osar's recommendation to heart and elected Taurbui on 12-12 973 TT.

Death and succession

In late 970 TT, Taurbui travelled to Orosken for a ceremonial inspection of the city. On 30-11 970 TT, whilst inspecting the tunnel network Taurbui was killed and eaten by a loose cave yak.

Because Taurbui had died young he had not had time to inform the ossbosches of his desired successor. The Deram-affiliated ossbosches fought amongst themselves over who to recommend as the next Living King with the 10th Living Election taking just under a year to conclude with the non-Deram-affiliated Vachar Sartak being elected Living King.
