The Caseic Federation Customs Enforcement program, more commonly referred to by its acronym CFCE, is a policy implemented in the Caseic Federation, on 16-3 2 PC, about a year after the activation of the First Contact Protocol. The policy aimed to pre-emptively prevent the unauthorised import of goods from islands that the Caseic Federation has banned imports from.

Rationale

The main rationale of the policy, as stated by Federation officials, was to prevent the unauthorised import of harmful goods. Some have suggested that an ulterior motive was to appease Chuwe Brifam's Warmongers' faction within the Federal Council, by providing a coastal defence mechanism in the event of war.

Implementation

The CFCE policy authorised the construction of CFCE towers on the coastlines of the G.N.U. beginning 22-3 2 PC. The first tower, CFCE Tower Prime, was constructed in Brenji. These towers were planned to use their lenses to direct solar rays toward ships in violation of Federation customs policy. This was expected to cause the ships to catch fire, and thus stop violating customs policy. In practice, the only ships that caught on fire because of the towers were local fishing-ships that accidentally sailed too near the focal point.

CFCE towers featured in the Hautean-inspired Caseic Flag Design, which won 3% of the first-preference vote in the Caseic Federal Flag Referendum.
