The Faltiran Imperial Senate (Aryhtus: Glykrot-Sha Faltir) is the primary legislative body of the Empire of Faltir. The senate consists of 300 elected members, as well as one non-elected, hereditary member (the Faltiran Emperor). Senate seats are divided proportionally across the 71 districts of Faltir.
History
The Imperial Senate was established in 21 PC by Shakrot Sar-Kaf, as a purely advisory entity. Following the constitutional reforms of 25PC, the Senate was empowered to write, propose, and approve laws. However, the Shakrot retains limited veto powers, as well as the ability to vote on legislation.
