The Utlian locust is an insect originally from Utlia and is a significant agricultural pest. Adult Utlian locusts range in size from 50 to 100 mm in length and come in various colours.
Trade
On 23-9, 2 PC the Republic of Utlia sent a boatload of live Utlian locusts to the Yotumic Divisionary Federation for use as food.
Agricultural impact
Utlian locust arrived on Akaria, in or just before 84 TT and quickly became a major ecological pest across the Karin Plain. These locusts were eradicated by the Weer Biological Warfare Division in 70 TT via Kadar's Fury, which had the side effect of wiping out all species of native grasshoppers.
