History

The island of Utlia was originally inhabited by groups of nomadic tribes, eventually they began amalgamating into larger tribes who fought and merged together. Utlia eventually became the Kingdom of Utlia ruled by Wynlid Liamia, who took power due to the loose structure of the kingdom. The Kingdom of Utlia lasted until the final king, Ywylin was overthrown by the people of Utlia. In the modern era the country is a dictatorship ran by Yyme Braia

Culture

Utlian culture is heavily based off food, more specifically crustaceans like crab or lobster. In Utlia, many holidays base around feasting and gift giving to family and friends. Fishing and Ranching have been important parts of both economy and recreation in Utlian history.

Religion

Utlian religion is based around the god known as Azzta, who takes the form of a massive Snow Crab. Azzta birthed Utlia as his holy land, where his people would prosper. the religion gained popularity when the first prophet found Azztas Crater, a hole caused by Azztas protection of Utlia from a meteor. in the hole the prophet found a mass of smoking dead crabs. The man then went to his home and preached the word of this miracle

Geography

Utlia is a cold, mountain heavy land with dense forests in the majority of the island but some plains in the north section.

Provinces

Utlia is separated into 6 different provinces. in the north is North Utlia, a plains heavy region with the highest concentration of ranching in the island. North Utlia has one major city, being Kelna-Ut. North Utlias population is 870 thousand. To the south of North Utlia is Balmore, a historic Province where many Tribes originally settled.The population of Balmore is 800 thousand. The major city of Balmore is Balmore-Ut, named after the province . To the southwest of Balmore is the Utlian Capital Region, the newest province born after the revolt against the monarchy. its population is 2 million and where many Utlians call home. East of the UCR is Mountange, where the majority of Mount Utlia and Utlias largest city lies. Dense forests and Mountainous terrain makes exploring the area difficult. The population of Mountange is 3 million in total and the most populous province in the country. The least Populated province, Direnomut is a largely uninhabited section of the island with not much live-able aspects. Finally, South Utlia is the furthest south Province. South Utlia is a land of many large lakes and quiet towns. Unlauen-Ut is the largest city in Southern Utlia. The province has a total population of 700 thousand.

Economy

Utlias economy is heavily based around fishing and ranching, the main producer of animal products being Kelna-Ut and the main producer of fishing goods is Balmore-Ut. Coal has become a major player in the Utlian economy, the majority of which comes out of Unlaunen-Ut in south Utlia.

Medicine

Utlia has a high concentration of medical workers and researchers, making it one of the major pillars of the Utlian economy. The high amounts of research make medicine much more advanced and funded than other major systems like military or public works.
