Member of Parliament Hall and Minister for the Kel-Elemi Department of Labour Donald Young was assassinated on 18-11 9 PC at 10:45 pm at Nodakh City Hall during a political party event. This was the first major act of terrorism by the Sorewa Liberation Uprising, in retaliation for being designated a terrorist organisation.

Events

At 9 pm in Nodakh, there was a political party event held for local party supporters of Robert Grayson's ruling party, headlined by Donald Young, who was Minister for Labor. He planned to make two speeches, one at 10 pm which took place without issue and another at 11:15 pm which was never held.

An Sorewa Liberation Uprising radical, named Undrin Goveok entered the building using a stolen security pass. Concealing a pistol, he waited for Young to talk to journalists in the lobby. At 10:45 pm halfway through talking to a local television crew, Goveok fired two shots from his pistol. The first bullet missed but the second hit Young in the head killing him instantly.

Goveok was quickly subdued by security officials and a camera crew whilst waiting for police to arrive. Meanwhile, the building was evacuated, and Deputy Minister of Labor Trent Hardin was informed he was now the acting Minister for Labor. The assassination was captured on film by several cameras and footage of the attack was shown on late-night news on television and the press.
