Karinian Bakoro

The Long One is mentioned in most versions of the Karinian Bakoro.

Description

The Long One is described as a giant serpentine spirit who resides in either the ocean on the spirit pool.

War against Aket

Most versions of the Karinian Bakoro claim that Aket, the 2nd Living King, fought a war against the Long One. The story states that shortly after Kadar's death the Long One began a campaign to kill Kadar's lineage to free the King of the Spirits who Kadar had bound during his journey to the Isle of Mirrors. The Long One's children, the snakes of Akaria, betrayed information about the Long One's plan to Aket, Kadar's son. Using this information Aket launched a surprise attack against the Long One, who was defeated and driven back into either the sea or the Spirit Pool.

Modern Akaria

On 22-4 12 PC, Living King, Harakar Oken had a dream in which the Long One devoured the city of Perisken. He told no one about this dream, but recorded it in a journal.
