Biography

Early life

Chomort Perat was born in Perisken, Kingdom of Akaria. At the time of his birth, his grandfather Tamok was the Leader of the Perat. Chomort served as the Scribe to the Living King between his 20th birthday and 26-7 1041 TT when his father became Leader of the Perat. Chomort became Leader of the Perat on 20-1 1030 TT, three days after his father's death.

7th Living Election

Living King Amkoi Deram's death on 17-10 1002 TT triggered the 7th Living Election. Before the election the Deram, the Perat and their other political allies had decided that a non-Deram should be named Living King. Chomort was selected due to being a nephew of Amkoi and was elected on 22-10 1002 TT.

Weer Kadarism

Weer Kadarism had existed in some form since the annexation of the Weer Nation in 1608 TT as an intermingling of traditional Weer and Karinian beliefs. The largest sect of Kadarism, Karinian Kadarism was organised in 1324 TT with the publication of the 2nd Bakoro. For many years no attempt to organise Weer Kadarism was made as it was believed that it would conflict with the teachings of Karinain Kadarism. In 1028 TT the Ald Bakoro was released with the Ald Bakoro recognising the Karianian Bakoro as legitimate and vice versa.

On 3-7 997 TT, the Oceanic Council, under the recommendation of Chomort formed a committee to begin writing the Weer Bakoro. On 28-4 991 TT, Chomort's 6th Dictate was issued releasing the Weer Bakoro.

Death

Chomort Perat died on 11-8 987 TT.
