History

Early history

Little is known about the early history of the Deram. What is known is that at some point a man named Atet took over the group.

War with the Andu Kur

On 30-10-1795 TT Kadar announced to both the Arkaran and the Amerkan which he lead the he had traveled to the Isle of Mirrors and dicovoured that their gods were nothing more than powerful spirits and that that he fought with the leader of these spirits and fused with it giving him foresight powers strong enough to allow him and his forces to drive back the Andu Kur during their next large scale attack. The news of the announcement travelled quickly through the Karin Plain, and soon reached the ears of Atet. On 15-11, 1794 TT the Deram joined with Kadar's forces. The move convinced more drikes to recognise Kadar's claim and join forces.

The Andu Kur launched an invasion of Kadar's forces on 26-4 1791 TT. Atet led the Deram against the Andu Kur during the war.

On 11-7, 1787 TT Kadar's forces managed to route what was left of the Andu Kur and capture the Andu city of Kanda. Kadar and the leaders of his various allies remained at the ruins of the city for ten days. On that tenth day when no Andu forces arrived, they declared the war over and began discussing what to do next. It was three days after that on 24-7 1787 TT that the Akarinian Confederation was established with Kadar as its first leader. From that point on the Deram existed as a part of the Akarinian Confederation.

Durantum and Todak Perikats

On 11-4 1682 TT, Leader of the Akarinian Confederation, Wayok led an invasion of the Weer Nation with Ekank of the Deram serving as his second in command. Wayok was captured on 15-2 1681 TT and was forced to sign a number of humiliating treaties before being released on 24-7 1680 TT and dying a short time later. After his remains were discovered his son Ukat took over the Akarinian Confederation. On 17-8 1680 TT Ekank claimed to have spoken with Kadar, Aket, Gotiph and Wayok in his dreams, who confered on him the right to guide the Karinians. The ossbosche Yakot interpreted this as the prior kings disapproving of Wayok's offspring and selecting Ekank to rule in his place. By late 1678 TT the Dar, Ikane, Kakay, Perat and Skrake had come to support Ekank. On 15-10 1678 TT The armies arrived at Ablesken and met little resistance as they surrounded the Tumak Ordok. Once within the ordok, Ekank confronted Ukat with his claim. Ukat did not challenge Ekank's claim and stepped down as the Leader of the Akarinian Confederation. Before the leaders of the seven allied drikes and Ukat, Ekank declared that he, he was the King in Green, ordered to rule over the Green Pool by order of the Kings in Brown and supported in the Green Pool by the Kadrikes who descend from Kadar, the first Living King. This began the Durantum Perikat.

On 19-9 1602 TT Living King, Karkon Deram established the Todak Perikat composed of the Deram, Dar, Ikane, Kakay, Perat and Skrake to allow for the funding of the Living Army.

The Todak Perikat was replaced by Bar Perikat on 7-10 1471 TT when Temur Bokok and Dar had himself proclaimed Living King.

Goghon's War, Brinor Perikat and Banosken Perikat

Goghon's War started on 25-7 1425 TT. Living King Goghon Perat was assassinated on 19-4 1422 TT and was replaced by Sayaph Lakar who put Dakarkon Deram in charge of the Living Army. During the war, Dakarkon won many victories for Akaria and by the time the war ended in 1419 TT, he was one of the most respected figures in the country. Layaph was killed on 14-1 1419 TT and the next day Dakarkon entered the Brinor Hall and declared himself Living King. The Deram joined the Brinor Perikat soon after and later its successor the Banosken Perikat.

On 20-5, 1198 TT Living King, Matart Kakay assembled the leaders of the Kadrikes in Ablesken and anounced that he was going to reform Akaria into a modern state. His 224th Dictate made the Living King into an elected title in which the ossbosches of the kadrikes woud travel to Ablesken to elect the next living king. During the drafting of this dictate Hortank Deram, Leader of the Deram had suggested that instead of having one ossbosches per Kadrike they could have one ossbosche per major populated area. Matart believed this system would favour the more heavily populated kadrikes and decided against implementing it. The Deram left the Banosken Perikat over this issue, disolving it.

Subjegation the Andu Kur and Aesdu Perikat

In mid-1120 TT Living King, Garikoph Perat announced an upcoming invation of the Andu Kur. On 13-10 1120 TT, Garikoph announced that his son-in-law Umanay Deram would be his second in command during the invasion. Garikoph faced criticised from his perikat for putting a Deram into the position and defended the appointment by claiming he was doing as Kadar did when he made Atet of the Deram his second in command. After the end of the war in 1105 TT Garikoph made Umanay the Warden of the Andu putting him in control of all the lands captured during the war. After Garikoph's death in 1103 TT, the ossbsoches elected Umanay Living King, begining the Aesdu Perikat.

Umanay's son Bonoi Deram was elected Living King in 1078 TT. He used his position to fund atrocities against the Andu.

In during the 10th Living Election, which took place in 970 TT and 969 TT, the Deram affiliated ossbosches were split on who to vote for leading to the non-Deram afaliated Vachar Sartak taking power and forming the Sarstai Perikat.

Able War

On 21-8, 594 TT Living King Arikarin Deram used the Living Army to remove the Ossbosche of East Able, Amarkil Arkara from his position. The Arkara, with the support of their Kadrike allies then waged the Able War against Arikarin. By the end of the war in 591 TT all of the Deram's allies had turned on them, Arikarin was dead and Akaria was under the control of the Arkara's coalition. On 27-3 591 TT, the Arkara were made a Kadrike through Arikarin's 714th Dictate, which was signed in the dead hand.

Purification of Able

On 25-8 564 TT, Bolakh Deram, son of Arikarin Deram, killed Living King, Gonchidor Ikane as a means of avenging his father. Shortly after Ochi Skrake was elected Living King and requested that the Deram hand over Bolakh Deram to be tried for his crimes. The Leader of the Deram, Fanachar Deram refused to hand Bolakh over citing that no crime had been commited. In response the armies of the Arkara, Dakon, Ikane, Kakay and Skrake entered and occupied the Deram Kadrike and began massacring members of the Deram and people affiliated with the Deram in an event known as the Purification of Able. Despite many prominent Deram being killed during the massacre both Bolakh and Fanachar managed to escape and retreated to the outpost of Dokaim in the Andu Lands.

The Deram Kadrike (The land area) was disolved on 20-9 536 TT.

Contracts with the Living King

On 13-6 467 TT the Oceanic Council anounced that the majority of their iron mines had begun to deplete and were expected to be completely out of iron within the next decade. The land within the Thesda Range was still ripe with iron that the Deram had been extracting for their own purposes, but the ruling Dugang Perikat refused to do bussiness with the Deram. The Lasken Perikat came into power in 480 TT and were willing to negotiate with the Deram. On 13-8 454 TT a deal was struck between Living King Klaichandoi Lakar and the Deram resaulting in five Living Dictates being issued. The 1st re-established the Deram Kadrike and defined it as taking up around a third of the Thesda Range. The 2nd granted the Deram Kadrike funds to expand the Andu Wall to go around their kadrike and to remove any remaining Andu from the kadrike. The 3rd established the Andorka, Goaphe, Karedone and Wyak ossletes within the new Deram Kadrike and permitted them to be run wholy by the Deram for the next one-hundred years. The 4th ordered the Mikare and Perat to act as mediatators for the Kingdom of Akaria regarding trade with the Deram. The 5th established a trade deal in which Deram mined minerals were to be traded to the Weer for Weer made weapons.

Mikare coup

On 29-9 146 TT the Deram executed a successful coup against the government of the Mikare and replaced their leader, Kamachium Mikare with his cousin, Echantium Mikare. Responses to this across the Karin Plain were largely negative, with the majority of the Kadrikes calling for an all out war against the Deram. The lack of an adequet response from the Lasken Perikat led to the creation of the Agrada Perikat on 15-3 143 TT. Attempts at intervention by the new perikat were stalled by the Great Weer Fire of 143 TT.

Proposed Deram-Perat Alliance

In late 7 PC, Leader of the Deram, Ara Deram began exchanginig letters with Leader of the Perat, Storm Perat. Storm was displeased the way Living King, Harakar Oken was running the country and expressed that he felt that it was he who deserved to lead Akaria and that the Arkara and the Oken, who he insisted were the Arkara's allies, stole that chance away from him. Ara knew that the Arkara and the Oken were not allies in the slightest, but did not turn up the chance to try to restore the old Deram-Perat Alliance and acted as though he believed Storm. On 8-10 7 PC additional mineral resources began flowing from the Deram Kadrike into the Perat Kadrike to be used in constructing arms for the Perat Army.
