Biography

Early life

Amkoi Deram was born in Durantum, Kingdom of Akaria. At the time of his birth, his grandfather Hekur was the Leader of the Deram. Tomoghok, Amkoi's father became Leader of Deram on 17-2 1075 TT, three days after his grandfather's death. Amkoi became Leader of the Deram on 4-10 1044 TT, three days after his own father's death.

6th Living election

Living King Bonoi Deram's death on 27-6 1035 TT triggered the 6th Living Election. Before his death, Bonoi had been preparing his son Kortatui to succeed him as Living King. Instead, on 3-7 1035 TT, Amkoi, Kortatui's second cousin, was elected Living King. Today it is believed that the ossbosches were worried Kortatui had been spending too much time among the Andu and elected Amkoi, whose position as the Leader of the Deram meant that he was already well-versed in Akarian politics.

The Ald

Living King Umanay Deram had attempted to convert the Andu to Mirroi with his 1st Dictate, issued on 11-5 1103 TT recognising the Andu Bokoro as equal to the mainstream Bokoro. Bonoi had sought to undo Umanay's policy of conversion and ended up undoing his predecessor's 1st dictate on 20-10 1076 TT with his 2nd Dictate. In 1033 TT, Kortatui, now serving as the Warden of the Andu, recommended clearing the Zomok Plain for inhabitation by Karinians. Amkoi's 2nd Dictate, issued on 4-12 1033 TT ordered the removal of the non-converted Andu from the Zomok Plain and called for the converted Andu to be moved there. The clearing was declared complete on 28-6 1032 TT. Amokoi's 3rd Dictate was issued on 15-7 1032 TT and declared that the converted Andu were Andu no longer and gave them the name Ald. Amkoi released the 2nd Ald Bakoro on 22-5 1028 TT through his 5th Dictate. This new Bakoro removed all mentions of the Ald's relationship with the Andu. On 30-11 1021 TT, Amkoi issued his 10th Dictate ordering the construction of the North Andu Wall to seperate the lands of the Ald from the lands of the Andu. The wall was completed on 30-12 1116 TT. On 8-1 1115 TT Amkoi issued his 12th Dictate removing the Warden of the Andu's authority over the Zomok Plain.

Death

Amkoi died on 17-10 1002 TT whilst visiting the High Director of the Ald Conversion Society in Adazete.
