The ATFS Arakar of the 1st Drug Division was bombed and sunk by the Sorewa Liberation Uprising (SLU) on 28-3 10 PC, bringing the Kingdom of Akaria into conflict with the SLU.

Background

The Sorewa Liberation Uprising (SLU) was formed on 5-1 9 PC to oppose the government of the Collective Kel-Elemi Republic (CKER) with the goal of ending the oppresion of the Sorewa people that had been governmentaly supported since the establishment of the CKER and to establish their own state seperate from the CKER. The CKER became aware of the SLU on 1-2 9 PC. President of the Collective Kel-Elemi Republic, Robert Grayson ordered a crack down on people advocating for Sorewa rights, inadvertently strengthening the SLU's numbers.

On 22-7 9 PC, the Akarian Trade Fleet (ATF) established the 1st Drug Division on 22-7 9 PC to purchase zaahr in Kel-Elemi and ship it to Tietero for sale. The majority of the companies supplying zaahr to the ATF were either state-owned or owned by Robert Grayson and his political allies providing the government with a new stream of revenue, making it a target for the SLU.

Bombing

Early in the morning of 28-3 10 PC, a bomb on the hull of the 1st Drug Division's ATFS Arakar exploded. The explosion caused a fire which was spread via the vast amounts of kersones that was stored onboard the ship. Of the 30 people aboard the ship only 4 were rescued. The ship's captain, Bort Oken was among the dead.

Aftermath

The bombing triggered protests and riots across Kel-Elemi leading Grayson declaring a state of emergancy across Kel-Elemi. These riots and protests became known as the Seireimeiko and led to the death of Robert Grayson and the start of the Kel-Elemi Civil War.

Two days after the bombing officials from Utlia and Akaria met in Oksken to plan action against the SLU. This meeting led to Akaria and Utlia intervene in the Kel-Elemi Civil War.
