Ronatana is an island northwest of Nongba. Ronatana is 881 km2. Ronatana has had a pernament population since 4 PC, currently between 40,000 and 50,000, mostly Tun'ilhameng. Ronatana is notable for being the center of the Tun'ilhameng Crisis and the current population center of the Tun'ilhameng Liberation Procedure.

History

Ronatana was dicovered by the Yotumic Divisionary Federation in 2 PC with coloniztion efforts comencing on 11-7 2 PC on the eastern side of the island. Between 4 PC and 6 PC the YDF forecully migrated all Tun'ilhameng slaves to the island along with certain manufactories that employed them. The YDF employed most Tun'ilhameng in the grain fields with citizens on Nongba taking up empty jobs with the hope that the additional food grown would boost the population. In 7 PC a series of terrorist attacks and slave revolts started the Tun'ilhameng Crisis in which all 35,000 Tun'ilhameng were left on the island while most of the Nongbans returned to the mainland. Causing food and labor shortages on Nongba. The few remaining Nongban's departed on 13-5 8 PC.

Most Tun'ilhameng living on the island migrated to the south eastern coast to marshy boglands that regularly flood, as to slow possible attacks in the area. Most Tun'ilhameng currently live there.

The Tun'ilhameng Crisis and associated violence ended in 16 PC. The Tun'ilhameng Liberation Procedure has been the dominant governing force on the island since.

Port Harold on the southmost end of the island was renovated in 25 PC to include larger cargo ports, infrustructure, offices, and apartments to create an appealing environment for potential traders and immigrants from Utlia and Akaria. This sparked several small protests from residents who had their property seized. New immigration to the island started in 25 PC.

Economy

Ronatana has a GDP of 85 Million Ronatana Fol, or a nominal GDP of 1850 Fol. approximately equal to 13 Utlian Dolares.

Ronatana has an employment rate of 70%, agriculture is the largest industry, followed by textile manufacturing.

Between 40% and 50% of Ronatana currently works in agriculture. Prior to 7 PC and the Ronatana Crisis Ronatana produced on average 140,000 tons of grain annually along with . During the ronatana crisis 21,000 Tons of grain were manufactured on average, which was the minimum amount needed to sustain the population on an average of 1500 kilocalories a day. Since 16 PC the rate of grain growth has grown to 42,000 tons per year, 5% of which is exported off the island. Market trends indecate that Ronatana will produce 100,000 tons per year by 35 PC.

Ronatana has a population estimated to be between 30,000 and 50,000. The population declined during the Ronatana Crisis and has had a significant birth rate increase since the departure of Yun Yan'il. The current annual growth rate now at 10%. The island is currently expiriencing an immigration boom. About 2,000 or 5% of the population are immigrants, almost all from Utlia and Akaria.

While no definitive income can be used to peg poverty on Ronatana, if it is assumed one needs atleast 6 Fol a day to support themselve then around 65% of the nation is below this poverty line. The employement rate is 70%. The median income is 30.2 Fol per week or 1570 Fol per year (~11 Utlian Dolare or ~35 Tietero Dolaro). The majority of immigrants live in Port Harold with a significantly higher income than the Tun'ilhameng populace. The employment rate of immigrants is 93% and the median income is 170 Fol per week or 8840 Fol per year (~64 Utlian Dolare or ~196 Tietero Dolaro) making their income more comporable to their home countries.

The Tun'ilhameng on Ronatana have a fertility rate of 4.6 children per woman while immigrants have a fertility rate of 2.3 children per woman. The infant mortality of Tun'ilhameng is 51 per 1000 live births while immigrant have an infant mortality of 10 per 1000 live births.
