Biography

Early life

Chormak Skrake was born in Saeskar, Kingdom of Akaria.

18th Living Election

Living King, Sorkak Bokok died on 6-12 707 TT triggering the 18th Living Election.

Odakot's 2nd Dictate, issued 19-8 819 TT, banned anyone in Akaria from claiming to be a member of the Arkara. The Skrake, Dakon, Ikane and Kakay who supported the Arkara refused to arrest anyone under the dictate. Following this many members of the Arkara, aided by their kadrike allies went into hiding and slowly took positions of power throughout Akaria, allowing them to avoid being arrested by the Enforcers of Living Law after they were established on 12-5 786 TT. During the 18th Living Election, the allies of the Arkara managed to have Chormak Skrake elected Living King on 3-2 706 TT.

Arkara

Chormak's 1st Dictate was issued on 3-8 706 TT and both nullified Odakot's 2nd Dictate and recognised the Arkara as a legitimate grouping, but did not recognise them as a kadrike. Chormak's 4th Dictate – issued on 24-10 698 TT – defined potential members of the Arkara as any descendant of Daroi Arkara, recognised Labok Arkara as the Leader of the Arkara at the time of issuing and recognised the right of the Leader of Arkara to choose who is and isn't an Arkara and to choose who the next Leader of the Arkara would be.

Osslette reshuffling

Towards the end of his life, it became apparent that Chormak's allies might not be able to elect another Living King. So on 23-6 657 TT, Chormak issued his 32nd Dictate completely redrawing the borders of the osslettes to be based around physical geography as opposed to population centres.

Among the new osslettes created was the Osslette of Saekraim, Chormak's son Omak was appointed to serve as the osslette's first ossbosche. Omak was found dead in his ordok on 9-11 652 TT and was replaced by his brother Banek on 25-2 653 TT.

Death

Chormak Skrake died on 25-9 643 TT. His death triggered the 19th Living Election.
