The Akarian-Utlian Alliance is the oldest alliance between two independent nations of the Attu Archipelago. It was established between the Kingdom of Akaria and the Republic of Utlia on 5-4 2 PC via the Treaty of Peripha.

Today, Akaria and Utlia are both part of the Eastern Bloc, a larger intergovernmental military alliance between several Eastern Attu states.

History

During early 2 PC, it became known to the Attu Archipelago that the large Nation of Niueyjar was in the midst of a civil war. It was understood by Harakar Oken, Living King of Akaria that the winner of this war may pose a threat to the rest of the archipelago. On 5-4 2 PC, The Akarian-Utlian Alliance was founded on 5-4 2 PC as a measure, in case the winner took hostile action against either of them. The treaty also stipulated the creation of a joint Akarian-Utlian base –the Akuta Military Base– on Utlia.

On 15-5 2 PC, Erak was attacked by Reformers. Docked at the city's port at the time was an Utlian ship delivering crabs to Vidar Astridson who had the crew of the ship detained to hide knowledge of the Niueyjara Civil War and claimed that there had been an earthquake and that the sailors were injured and were receiving medical attention. Both Utlia and Akaria doubted this and elected to send a strike force to rescue the sailors. The strike force was commanded by Akarians and composed mostly of Utlians. The sailors were extracted on 20-5 2 PC. Following the rescue, the Akarian-Utlian Alliance publicly revealed the operation's existence. Due to Vidar's continued threats, the Akaria-Utlia began supplying the Reformers with military equipment on 9-12 2 PC, leader to Vidar's death on 7-3 4 PC. A day after his death the Akarian-Utlian Alliance announced the end of shipments to the Reformers, despite shipments having already been cut off by Clan Norden's defeat three days prior.
