The Deram are one of the Kadrikes of Akaria.

History

Early history

Little is known about the early history of the Deram. What is known is that at some point a man named Atet took over the group.

War with the Andu Kur

On 30-10-1795 TT Kadar announced to both the Arkaran and the Amerkan which he lead the he had traveled to the Isle of Mirrors and dicovoured that their gods were nothing more than powerful spirits and that that he fought with the leader of these spirits and fused with it giving him foresight powers strong enough to allow him and his forces to drive back the Andu Kur during their next large scale attack. The news of the announcement travelled quickly through the Karin Plain, and soon reached the ears of Atet. On 15-11, 1794 TT the Deram joined with Kadar's forces. The move convinced more drikes to recognise Kadar's claim and join forces.

The Andu Kur launched an invasion of Kadar's forces on 26-4 1791 TT. Atet led the Deram against the Andu Kur during the war.

On 11-7, 1787 TT Kadar's forces managed to route what was left of the Andu Kur and capture the Andu city of Kanda. Kadar and the leaders of his various allies remained at the ruins of the city for ten days. On that tenth day when no Andu forces arrived, they declared the war over and began discussing what to do next. It was three days after that on 24-7 1787 TT that the Akarian Confederation was established with Kadar as its first leader. From that point on the Deram worked from within the Akarian Confederation.

Durantum and Todak Perikats

On 11-4 1682 TT, Leader of the Akarian Confederation, Wayok led an invasion of the Weer Nation with Ekank of the Deram serving as his second in command. Wayok was captured on 15-2 1681 TT and was forced to sign a number of humiliating treaties before being released on 24-7 1680 TT and dying a short time later. After his remains were discovered his son Ukat took over the Akarian Confederation. On 17-8 1680 TT Ekank claimed to have spoken with Kadar, Aket, Gotiph and Wayok in his dreams, who confered on him the right to guide the Karinians. The ossbosche Yakot interpreted this as the prior kings disapproving of Wayok's offspring and selecting Ekank to rule in his place. By late 1678 TT the Dar, Ikane, Kakay, Perat and Skrake had come to support Ekank. On 15-10 1678 TT The armies arrived at Ablesken and met little resistance as they surrounded the Tumak Ordok. Once within the ordok, Ekank confronted Ukat with his claim. Ukat did not challenge Ekank's claim and stepped down as the Leader of the Akarian Confederation. Before the leaders of the seven allied drikes and Ukat, Ekank declared that he, he was the King in Green, ordered to rule over the Green Pool by order of the Kings in Brown and supported in the Green Pool by the Kadrikes who descend from Kadar, the first Living King. This began the Durantum Perikat.

On 19-9 1602 TT Living King, Karkon Deram established the Todak Perikat composed of the Deram, Dar, Ikane, Kakay, Perat and Skrake to allow for the funding of the Living Army.

The Todak Perikat was replaced by Bar Perikat on 7-10 1471 TT when Temur Bokok and Dar had himself proclaimed Living King.

Goghon's War, Brinor Perikat and Banosken Perikat

Goghon's War started on 25-7 1425 TT. Living King Goghon Perat was assassinated on 19-4 1422 TT and was replaced by Sayaph Lakar who put Dakarkon Deram in charge of the Living Army. During the war, Dakarkon won many victories for Akaria and by the time the war ended in 1419 TT, he was one of the most respected figures in the country. Layaph was killed on 14-1 1419 TT and the next day Dakarkon entered the Brinor Hall and declared himself Living King. The Deram joined the Brinor Perikat soon after and later its successor the Banosken Perikat.

On 20-5, 1198 TT Living King, Matart Kakay assembled the leaders of the Kadrikes in Ablesken and anounced that he was going to reform Akaria into a modern state. His 224th Dictate made the Living King into an elected title in which the ossbosches of the kadrikes woud travel to Ablesken to elect the next living king. During the drafting of this dictate Hortank Deram, Leader of the Deram had suggested that instead of having one ossbosches per Kadrike they could have one ossbosche per major populated area. Matart believed this system would favour the more heavily populated kadrikes and decided against implementing it. The Deram left the Banosken Perikat over this issue, disolving it.
