Biography
Early life
Sarkay Obat was born and raised in the city of Orstai. The Obat were a decently influencial drike within the Dakon Kadrike.
Akarian Trade Fleet
On 28-7 9 PC Sarkay Obat was hired by the Akarian Trade Fleet (ATF) to work as a general labourer aboard the ATFS Arakar which had been assigned to the newly established 1st Drug Division, shipping zaahr from Kel-Elemi to Tietero.
Whilst working for the ATFSarkay Obat spent a great deal of time on shore in both Tietero and Kel-Elemi where he learnt to appreciate the Tieteran and the Kawakian ways of life respectively.
On 28-3 10 PC The Sorewa Liberation Uprising bombed the ATFS Arakar whilst off the coast of Kel-Elemi, leading to the ship sinking and killing 26 of its 30. Sarkay Obat was one of the survivors.
First book
Sarkay had been traumatised by the bombing of the ATFS Arakar and wanted time to rest. His family in Orstai, however, wanted him to get back to working, not wanting to do this Sarkay moved to the slums of Oksken. Whilst there Sarkay sruvived off of a diet of nothing but Okolor provided by the Osslette of Okenate and lived in housing also provided by the Osslette of Okenate. By law, the Osslettes of Akaria had to provide food and shelter to all those who needed it and the Osslette of Okenate was notable for being the worst provider of both. Despite his poor living conditions Sarkay Obat learned much about foreign nations whilst in Oksken, mostly due to it being one of only two cities in Akaria where foreigners were permitted. He learned about the onging conflict in Nongba between the Nongbans and the Tun'ilhameng. He began writing his first book during his stay in Oksken.
His book was published on 9-12 12 PC. In it Sarkay advocated for the abolition of the osslettes and the purging of the Thesda Range of all Andu. The book also made the claim that the Andu, Sorewa and Tun'ilhameng were all apart of a singular race and that everyone else was apart of another superior race.
Second book
Since the release of his first book Sarkay Obat had gone into exile in eee, where he wrote his second book which was published on 10-10 15 PC and distributed across the Eastern Bloc.
The book claimed that Akaria's policies in regards to foreigners and the spread of information was holding back the unifying power of the Eastern Block and called for the end of censorship through Harakar's 7th Dictate and the abolish of the foreign zones established by Harakar's 6th Dictate.
Sarkist riots began in Akaria on 27-10 15 PC.
Conference of intellectuals
On 2-1 16 PC, Sarkay hosted what he termed a "conference of intellectuals" at his house in Sagat, Haute eee. The conference included guests from across the Eastern Bloc.
On 12-5 16 PC, Sarkay declared the creation of the Sarkist Assembly, composed of 30 people who had attended his conference of intellectuals.
Formation of the Sarkist State
On 30-7 17 PC, Sarkist Assembly member Ratok Omiph departed Akaria for the Eastern Ocean in the hopes of recruiting the recently contacted Dwarf Island to the Sarkist cause. His ship sank on 4-8 whilst en route for the island and was presuemed dead until 12-9 when the High Director of the East Oken Company reported that Omiph and the majority of his crew had survived and were stranded on an unnamed grassy island. On 15-9 Sarkay announced that he would be funding an exphidition to rescue Omiph and his crew. The ship sent ended up wrecked on the same island on 22-9.
