Biography

Early life

Artak was born in Agrada on 15-4 55 TT to Kamakta Arkara and his wife Amailide. At the age of four his grandfather, the Ossbosche of Grada Herkaz Arkara sent Artak to the city of Saeskar to be raised by relatives there. Artak was educated at the Skrake Brown and Green School from 44 TT until his graduation as bosche in 34 TT. On 7-2 31 TT the Ossbosche of Saekraim Temurak Skrake put Artak in control of a shrine to Gotiph as an udenbosche.

Udenbosche

On 25-3 23 TT Artak was resigned to being the Udenbosche of Resources at his own request.

Kamakta Arkar began his involvement in the Arkara Plot during 22 TT or earlier. On 11-5 22 TT a small crate of fertiliser, for use in the Arkara Plot arrived at the Skrasken Ordok. Bosche Tyshok Perat asked what it was for and Artak lied and told him that it was to be given to the Sotai family, whose last shipment had been slightly lacking.

The Ossbosche of Saekraim, Huzok Skrake died on 18-6 11 TT from, what was ruled at the time to be a heart attack. Artak Arkara was elected to replace him on 25-6 11 TT.

Ossbosche

On 9-12 10 TT, Tyshok Perat released the Tyshok Report, revealing parts of the Arkara Plot and providing evidence towards those who had been assassinated by members of the Arkara. Among those linked to this was Huzok Skrake. These revelations began the False War. During the False War, many ossbosches, udenbosches and members of the Kadrikes were assassinated or driven into hiding. Artak, however, continued to publicly serve as the Ossbosche of Saekraim, personally surviving over a dozen assassination attempts. On 13-7 4 TT, Artak's uncle, Living King, Bantar Arkara was assassinated. Artak left for Ablesken to elect his successor and remained in the capital until 30-10 2 TT when Harakar Oken was named Living King.

As the years went by, public opinion of the Arkara continued to deteriorate. On 4-2 3 PC, Harakar Oken issued Harakar's 10th Dictate, which barred members of the Arkara from serving as ossbosches. Artak refused to recognize the dictate and did not step down. Three days later, a group of soldiers sent by the Ossbosche Assembly arrived at the Skrasken Ordok to forcibly remove Artak from his position. Artak's guards killed three of them before they retreated. The next day, Artak's father and Leader of the Arkara, Kamakta Arkara, declared the Arkara's defiance to the dictate, beginning the Arkara Uprising of 3 PC. The Living Army was sent to capture Arkara-held ossletes in the Arkara Kadrike and the Skrake Army was sent to capture Saekraim. The Skrake Army quickly captured most of Saeskar but Artak and a group of his forces managed to hold out in the Skrasken Ordok. Peace was achieved on 24-3 3 PC, when Kamakta recognised the dictate in exchange for total amnesty in regard to the uprising. Artak stepped down as the Ossbosche of Saekraim later that day.

9 PC Arakra elections

Kamakta was found dead in the Saeskar River on 30-7 9 PC. Artak Arkara was elected Leader of the Arkara on 26-8 9 PC.

Karinians in mines

On 10-10 10 PC, Harakar's sister and High Director of the Dakota Mine, Harlain Oken was shot and killed. Soon after it became appartent that the Dakota mine was using hired Karinians as labour in the mine, which went against Karinain tradition. Two days after her death Artak voiced his support of her killing.

Sarkist Riots

On 10-10 15 PC, exiled Akarian political-writer Sarkay Obat published a book that called for the end of censorship through Harakar's 7th Dictate and the abolishment of the foreign zones established by Harakar's 6th Dictate. On 27-10 15 PC, Sarkist riots kicked off across Akaria with the rioters demanding the abolision of Harakar's 6th and 7th Dictates. On 25-11 15 PC, Harakar issued his 11th Dictate, which suspended his 6th and 7th Dictates and put border control under the authority of the individual Kadrikes.

During his 16 PC String Day speach Artak criticized Harakar's actions over the past year and called him a coward for submitting to the rioter's demands.

Akarian Civil War

On 6-1 16 PC, the Deram purchased modern mining equipment from Niueyjar with the intent of phasing out slave labour and replacing it with paid labour using modern industrialised mining techniques. Artak reacted to this on 13-1 16 PC by mobilising the Arkara Army and sending them against the Deram Kadrike.
